The 2024 Triennial Code Adoption Cycle runs through 2025 and will take effect on Jan. 1st, 2026
Officially called the “2025 California Building Standards Code, Title 24”
New building and elevator codes for California are currently being workshopped and are in the evaluation process. New codes are scheduled to be submitted in November of 2024 with commission meetings on the adoption and approval of new codes in early 2025. By July of 2025, all new Title 24 regulations will codified and published, taking effect January 1st, 2026 (180 days from publication, all dates subject to change).
